Perfect Agenda has been put away for the winter. She is at Scalisi's Marine for the winter. Val and I are first time customers at Scalisi's. Arthur and Mike (from Scalisi's) have made us feel welcome.

The trip to their boat yard is quite a unique trip if you've never been there, definitely not for the faint of heart. You can only access their docks two hours before or after high (flood) tide. Here is a picture from Google Maps (link) giving you an idea. No water during this picture.

The teak on Perfect Agenda really needs some help. Val and I did work on the teak swim platform while we were still at F.L. Tripp and Sons, but more work continued in September 2020 at Sunset Bay and has a long way to go.

We had talked about two choices on what to use on the teak swim platform, one was to sand and stain followed by coats of polyurethane. The other choices was to sand and then use several coats of just teak oil. Hmmm.. We decided to use just teak oil on the swim platform, we didn't want it to be slippery. We can always change and use another method, but for now, it's teak oil for the swim platform.

Day 1: Traveling to Block Island RI.

We hit real heavy fog once we got into the Long Island Sound. Thank goodness for our new Garmin Radar!!

But as the day went on, the fog lifted and became a nice sunny day; Pictures of the Fisher Island Light and a fishing boat in Block Island Sound.

We met up with John and Lynn when we arrived at Block Island. Chance to see their new Viking!! Great time, great dinner!!

Day 2: Traveling to Cuttyhunk MA.

For pretty much of the whole trip we had a strong 2-3 foot "following" sea. Learned a lot about the Monk36 today, certainly learned how to surf as the waves pushed us a long. That was not much of an issue, but when we arrived at Cuttyhunk, the winds had picked up quite a bit and were blowing a steady 30 MPH. I did try and dock but with the wind directly on the beam and I could not dock "stern to", so we decided to take a mooring!! That was an adventure I'm not looking forward to repeating any time soon. Let's just say we were the entertainment for the night. The mooring field was packed, heavy winds and new mooring balls with risers (?) and eye holes at the end, no mooring lines (??), new to us, it took Val and I a couple of passes.... but success... we even got a standing ovation from our audience!! We were rewarded with a great sunset. Not to mention the Cuttyhunk "raw bar" boat delivering some really good "Cuttyhunk" oysters.

Day 3: Traveling to Plymouth, MA.

Nice beautiful day, sunny, slight wind. Timed the trip through the Cape Cod Canal perfectly... Had the Perfect Agenda moving at 14 mph!!

The trip into Plymouth harbor was very pretty and hot. The heat and humidity has been tough the last few days.

Safe Harbor Plymouth Marina was really nice, great docks, little restaurant and of course "Plymouth Rock", more like Plymouth Peeble...

Day 4: Finally heading home to Hull, MA

Another beautiful and hot day. Sunny skies, slight wind, absolutely gorgeous!! Val used her phone to keep track of where we were!! Look at that temp.. 91!!

In order to install the new davit system we needed to take a trip to Westbrook CT, it was our first "real" trip with the Perfect agenda. All the work we had done up until this point was being put to the test. I think it worked!!

July 5, 2020 Trip - Westport Point MA to Westbrook, CT

One of the many things Val and I saw during our trip to Ft. Pierce FL for the 2020 MOA rendezvous was a great davit system from Sea Wise Marine. Definitely not the cheapest davit system but most certainly one of the best I've seen. A lot of work was done upfront, sending specific measurements to the manufacturer because each system is built to your boat. Here is an idea of some of the measurements taken. Actually needed to move the swim ladder, and install some extra support for the swim platform.
