After purchasing the Perfect Agenda in August of 2019, Val and I kept her at F.L. Tripp and Sons marina until July of 2020. All the marina staff, fellow boaters were great. This was a really great marina, I feel lucky to have met everyone there. Including Carl, no matter what Rich said!!
We worked on her over the winter/spring of 2019-2020. I was furloughed from work for 6 weeks because of Covid-19 in the beginning of 2020, so Val and I spent our quarantine time down in Westport Point just working on the boat. After she came out of her "cold/dark" shed, we were right on the bulkhead next to the entrance to "D" dock where we got to meet a lot of good people that would stop and comment on all the work Val and I were doing. Sharing stories and well wishes.
We did a lot of work.
For example, before and after pictures of the bottom paint, from this 1970s green to this modern blue.
We stayed at F.L. Tripp's marina until the beginning of July 2020 while we were planning a trip to Safe Harbor's Pilot's Point Marina in Westbrook CT. for the installation of the Sea Wise Davit System before heading to our home port of Safe Harbor's at Sunset Bay in Hull, MA.

If you own a boat you know there is alway something that needs to be done, it's called a boat.
Things are measured in "boat units"... How many "boat units" is that going to cost?? FYI - Rule of thumb, a boat unit is about $1000. - Break Out Another Thousand, it's a b.o.a.t.!!
After purchasing Perfect Agenda, there were several areas that needed work:
- The electronics needed upgrading
- Many leaks and subsequent repairs
- All the teak needed to refinished
- Canvas and cushions need repairing or replacing
- Gelcoat and window seals
- Davit system..... (Sea Wise)
- Generator install...
- It's a boat.....
Since August of 2019, Val and I have been doing a lot of work on all these areas and more. We will try a put as many "before and after" pictures as possible (if we remember). Currently I have been dumping pictures in the Photo Gallery and hopefully over time do some more detail explanations.
Here is an example of the "before and after" around the electronics. Over the winter Val and I updated all the electronics to Garmin. Here are the before and after pictures:
Before: See all the space taken and used on the counter
After: All electronics combined into one MFD (multi-function display)
We we able to regain almost all of the lower helm counter space. We hope to more of these "Before and After" pictures.

We found our boat, a Monk 36, browsing on YachtWorld online in June 2019. Here is the first picture I saw of her:
She was at F.L. Tripp and Sons marina in Westport Point MA. about an hour away from home. Her previous name was Lucy (named after a grandmother of the previous owner) and had been on the hard for about two years and she needed a little TLC. The folks at F.L. Tripp and previous owners John and Day Guest were great to work and collaborate with. Val and I finally owned her by August 2019.
Here is her transition to the Perfect Agenda:
There are lots of pictures in the Photo Gallery.
